Product Categories don’t display current cat when order is “category order”

  • Hello,

    i have some troubles with the widget “Product Categories”

    by default, the widet order is set as “name” ( alphabetical ) and display the current category when we are in a category.

    but sadly if i set the order as “category order” ( not alphabetical ) it doesn’t display the current category anymore…

    i think this is a bug, if not, is there anyway to display current cat name when order is set as category order.

    trying to be more clear :

    ex :

    i’m currently visiting category C.
    with this widget set as “order by name”.
    it display :

    – category A
    – category B
    – category C
    – category D
    – etc…

    if i change order to “category order”, then it display :

    – category A
    – category B
    – category C (not displayed)
    – category D
    etc…

    Hi there,

    I tested with the Product Categories widget set to “category order”, but I couldn’t replicate this on my site.

    Could you make sure WooCommerce is up-to-date? Also, is the current category empty? (having no product)

    woocommerce is up to date,
    all categories have products inside.

    Automaticc support made a try and send me those two captures :

    https://d.pr/i/WzZu3Q (order by name)
    https://d.pr/i/NyX5x3 (order by category order)

    and tell me they don’t see any difference too.
    Perhaps, as you can see on those capture “uncategorized” has disapear from second capture.

    i replied it to them and wait for his reply.

    This make me realise, that the category make trouble, IS uncategorized (renamed).
    and IN ANY OTHER CATEGORY, this is ALWAYS this category that didn’t display. Its not related to “current” category, but to uncategorized.

    you can go in any category, it will be uncategorized that don’t display.

    I tested by going to the Uncategorized category, but it also displays there for me: https://pressshop.mystagingwebsite.com/product-category/uncategorized/

    Hello, just for information, Automaticc support has identify the problem.
    it’s a know problem linked to WordPress and not really a bug.
