Product categories getting duplicated on display page

  • I found that if you follow the posted instructions the items will be repeated.
    Eg. add the products then add two categories and you’ll have 3 if everything. Remove the catagorirs and only add the products.

    But how can I categorize products then?

    So, just by looking at your page, I can tell that you’ve added both individual products and whole categories to your catalog. If you want it separated by category like that, then don’t add any individual products, just categories. It also looks like that you’ve added those whole categories to the catalog twice. Go back to your catalog edit screen and make sure you have only categories and no individual products, and that you don’t have any category in there twice.

    Obviously I had it backward… good to know ??

    BTW, I was displaying diff categories by using the shortcode on a diff page.
    eg. Full catalog shortcode – /products
    to show only cat2 items – /products/?categories=2
    to show only cat3 items – /products/?categories=3
    etc.
