  • Which part of “post your own topic” are you having a problem with?

Thanks esmi – people do actually like to know that the issue is not only their own problem. But thanks for being a forum nazi and putting me off helping.

As in, I am confirming that the issue complained of is not confined to this one user, and that user should either revert or await a fixed version of the plugin. Ergo: this is a legitimate answer. At least it is as legitimate as you repeating your message “start your own topic” twice.

I would hardly call this post resolved… since there isnt a fix we can apply right now and we are waiting for the plugin authors…

The only thing we know for sure is the issue lies specifically in the plugin code and not some conflict with a server setup/other plugin/theme/etc…

In the mean time we can downgrade back to 2.01.14 –> https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/woocommerce.2.0.14.zip

But as always; proceed with caution and good luck.

    Hi guys,

It seems there were some merge errors in the 2.0.15 release which caused categories to be hidden. We’ve resolved this and pushed out 2.0.16 to resolve these issues.

Please update to 2.0.16 to fix the category display issue. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

    Thanks

Thanks Mike – appreciate the quick fix.

Apologies for the attitude earlier Esmi – I was trying to help the OP with my reply, having landed from Google, not hijack a thread. It is clear that there were a lot of identical topics going up at the same time. This is perhaps because of the way the “Broken” button works in the Plugins section…

That said, it is helpful to know that an issue is general, and not specific to one’s own set of plugin / theme conflicts. Hence my answer “I have this issue too” – that’s what I’d want to know if I was OP here. Also, how to fix the problem, NOW, if this were in a production shop, I could imagine clients / webmasters tearing whole chunks of hair out…

Well done on posting a quick fix on what remains a very good, free, plugin!

    Now working perfectly.

    Thanks mike for prompt response.

Thanks Mike for the quick fix.
    You’re awesome.

@esmi, I wish you let these people post in the same thread – flood control is killing me ??

    Thanks guys

I have had a problem with the upgrade – all of my shop pages have disappeared. I don’t know why? I’m trying to restore them from a backup.
My woocommerce shop pages settings are now completely blank and at default no page selected?

@mikejolley I’m leaving this topic open because you’ve asked nicely and demonstrated that you’ve been raised by a family. ??

As you know from the forum welcome why the moderators suggest that people open their own topic.

@robscott There are polite ways to seek assistance, calling a moderator a “forum nazi” isn’t one of them.

Please take the time and read the forum welcome yourself, particularly the part about being “Mod watched”.

@esmi, please do continue to tell people to create their own threads.
When I have an issue and am searching on these forums I struggle to find the answer when threads get busy. There are too many replies and most of them are irrelevant. So, in the long-term people like me lose out because we can’t find the answer.

It has been stressed that everyone has been experiencing the same problem, so why does that need to be repeated? For example, if it’s the same issue why do you need to post that you are experiencing the same issue? If it is the same issue then the answer applied to one person can be applied to everyone.
