Product category carousel

  • Thanks for your great theme.

    I cannot seem to get my product category carousel working properly with my product categories. I entered the slug names for the categories, but it is still showing seemingly a random selection of categories and sub-categories.

    The code I’m using at the moment is:
    [tx_prodscroll type=”product_categories” ids=”mobility,mother-baby,personal-care,nutrition,devices-surgical-items” columns=”5″ items=”5″]

  • Hi,
    you must to use the NUMBER id, not the name of the category.
    To check the number of a category you can go in the editor of the category and see the url:

    Is there a way to make it appear in the order I want, or does it default to alphabetical?

    Hum, works alphabetically but you can change the order in the category page by drag&drop it.

    Hi, I am having a similar problem in that I have got these shortcodes listed:-

    [product_categories parent=”1881″ per_page=”12″ columns=”4″]

    [product_categories ids=”1884,1882,1138,1883″ per_page=”4″ columns=”4″]

    [tx_prodscroll type=”product_categories” ids=”1884,1882,1138,1883″ columns=”4″ items=”4″]

    and they all only show the one category which is swimwear! I have checked and double-checked the category id’s but cannot for some reason to get any of the shortcodes to show the 4 categories that I have had to manually add above.

    Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what I might be missing?
