Product category is not displayed in breadcrumbs

    Product category is not displayed in breadcrumbs.
    Breadcrumbs are displayed in the format:
    Home :: product
    And you need to display:
    Home :: Category :: Product
    Tried all plugin configuration options. All products are in categories.

    Installed OceanWP theme, breadcrumbs connected with Yoast SEO.

    Thanks for reaching out regarding your breadcrumbs.

    To look into this further, please share a screenshot of the setting you have in WordPress > SEO > Search Appearance > Breadcrumbs.

    Hi @udobryatel!

    We understand you want to output breadcrumbs onto product pages. While Yoast SEO does not have the feature which outputs breadcrumbs onto product pages, our add-on plugin, WooCommerce SEO does.

    When you purchase WooCommerce SEO you may need to configure it by going to SEO-WooCommerce SEO and then going to SEO-Search Appearance-Breadcrumbs and selecting the right items next to the product section.

    The right product breadcrumb pathway is then expected to appear.

    Okay. But in the posts, the Categorys are not displayed either.

    Hi,

    Please do help check if you’ve implemented the Yoast SEO breadcrumbs on your site correctly – https://yoast.com/help/implement-wordpress-seo-breadcrumbs/

    If under your WP admin dashboard > SEO (sidebar) > Search Appearance > Breadcrumbs tab, you’ve set the taxonomy to show in breadcrumbs for content types for the posts to be ‘category’, we would expect that that post would have the category in the breadcrumb path.

    If you were to edit that post or page, is it assigned to several categories? Could you check if you can set a primary category and save the changes and see if it updates accordingly?

    Could you provide us with an example URL of a post where this issue is occurring so we can check on this further?

    Thanks for sharing all the relevant information with us. We looked at the relevant post page and it doesn’t seem a breadcrumb generated by Yoast SEO.

    Can you please confirm whether you have implemented Yoast SEO breadcrumbs-specific code directly on your theme file? When looking at the relevant page’s source code, the breadcrumbs code generated by Yoast SEO doesn’t match.
