    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I have changed the product category slug to “categories”. Is this a bad idea?

Other than a possible cause of confusion renaming a slug of one particular category to categories should not be a bad idea.

One exception to that would be the case when an additional plugin is used to shorten the links/remove parts of links such as product or category. Even then, your slug should not conflict with the default category part of the link.

The full link to your categories category will probably be something like https://woocommerce.com/category/categories.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi @grigaswp,

Thank you very much for your response.

So it’s bascially fine to rename the product category slug? I’m thinking that I might rename it to something that fits what I’m selling, for example “homedecor”.

So the product category url would look like this:
    https://woocommerce.com/homedecor/pillows

Yes, that should not cause any problems ??
