Product colour variation not showing on SHOP page

Hi,

I have succeeded in setting up my product variations with different colours and sizes. I have the following 2 problems on the front end:

1) the other colour picture doesn’t swap unless I select both the colour AND the size in the drop down options. Is there a way t have the image swap when I select only the colour option?

2) I have the same product available in 2 colours, let’s say black and red. The main feature image shows the colour red. I have added the picture of the black shoe in the corresponding variations and in the image gallery. But on my shop page listing all my products, only the red shoe shows up, not the black one. What should I do to also see the colour variations on the shop page?
