Product CSV upload doesn’t work after update to WP 5.0.3

    today the automatically update 5.0.3 was installed and after this update the import of products doesn’t work anymore.
    i can’t choose a document. the button doesn’t react on click and at the dev console i get this error message.

    Unchecked runtime.lastError: The message port closed before a response was received.

  • Hi,

    Personally i use “WordPress Users & WooCommerce Customers Import Export(BASIC)” for USERS and “Order / Coupon / Subscription Export Import Plugin for WooCommerce (BASIC)” for ORDERS.

    But, you need to export your orders/users before with those plugins to make the import compatible. I’ve tested today exporting by the WP/WC export system on XML and when imported with plugin i got +2K orders processing without data…

    In you case, if you are using a Minify plugin, try disabling it, cleaning cache, maybe the error is caused by them.

    the CSV import was working till the day before the WP update 5.0.3 was installed.
    after this update the button doesn’t work anymore for choosing the CSV file.
    i deactivated all plugins and changed the theme to the WP original one, but this doesn’t change anything.

    i testet the CSV import at a other WP site too and it doesn’t work too. i can’t choose the CSV file and i get this error message at the dev console:

    Hi there,

    Since your conflict check turned out empty, I am thinking this is purely front end and maybe caused by one of your browser extensions maybe(?).

    Do you get the same set of errors in a) another browser b) an incognito session with Google Chrome?

    you are right. i opened the site with firefox private session and there it works.
