Product data-linked products -cross sells

    Hello,

    Please advise?

    I am setting up my store for the first time and reading as much documentation as possible from your repository.

    I have utilised your linked products, cross sell field in the product data section.

    When I do this I can see the product listed on the basket page ready to be added to the basket.
    However when I click on add to basket (of the cross sell item) it just sits there processing the gear wheel and does not add it to the basket.

    As I am new to WooCommerce it could be “wood for trees” but is there something else special to configure to enable this besides searching and adding the link to the product to the cross sell field?

    Note, The item in question has an adequate stock value.

    I have added a link to my site with the product with a cross sell item (Magnets). Try it, add the saw sculpture to the basket and see the cross sell item, try to add the cross sell item (Neodymium magnet) to the basket as a test for reference and see the problem….

    look forward to anybodies feedback besides support..

    Hi @andrewmperryman,

    In such a case, I would recommend first doing a conflict test to see whether the issue is caused by a plugin/theme conflict. Here’s a guide on conflict testing: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

    Hi @abwaita

    You are correct, it is Theme related as the first thing I tried is to temporarily switched themes (with a wordpress default theme) with all plugins active and on test, there is not a problem with the cross sell item adding to the basket.

    The only other thing maybe a function file additional script. However I only have a few non relating additional functions.

    I will place these functions in a plugin later to be able to deactivate them as part of a clash test.

    I have escalated this issue to the Hueman Pro theme support section.

    I will update you once I have a response.
