Product Detail Syncing and overall Sync time

  • If I want to have product detail pages, do I have to resync every time a product is added in Shopify so that the product is added in WP? Also, can I close the sync browser window or do I need to keep it open (has been syncing for over an hour)?

    Hey there, great questions.

    The free version of the plugin requires that you manually resync your products each time you want them to be created inside WordPress. The Pro version on the other hand has a feature called “Automatic post syncing” which allows for this process to happen automatically for you.

    You’ll want to keep the browser window open while the syncing occurs. However syncing should never take longer than 10mins. Even if you have 20,000 products, it wouldn’t take longer than 20mins.

    If the sync is timing out, try changing the Items per request setting to 25 and turning on Synchronous requests instead. You can find these options within the plugin settings under the Syncing section.
