Product download on order received page is gone

    I have been selling e-books in my Woocommerce shop for a few years and it has always worked fine. When people land on the order received page they can download the e-book there.

    Since a few weeks this doesn’t work anymore. When somebody buys an e-book, I receive the payment. But the status of the sale stays on “Waiting for payment”. The customer lands on the order received page, but they don’t get the download option there.

    I have checked with my payment provider and they said: The issue is that when we are doing a webhook call to your webhook URL, we get an error response (status code 404 (Not Found)). This means that somehow the webhook URL is altered, making it impossible for us to notify WooCommerce of the new status of the payment, and therefore WooCommerce not to update the order status accordingly.

    I have turned off all plugins, except for Woocommerce and Mollie (which is the payment system that I use). I tried switching to a different theme. I also tried turning off the Mollie plugin and using Paypal instead as a payment provider. The issue still persisted.

    I don’t know what to do anymore because if the issue doesn’t come from another plugin, it seems like it is coming from Woocommerce itself?

    Can anybody help me with this issue? Thank you in advance!

    Thanks for sending over the system status report for us. Let’s try disabling a couple of these plugins and then run a test purchase to see if it works.

    * Redirection
    * Wordfense Security

    If it works with these two disabled, then that points to a conflict with one of these two. Try turning back on Redirection and testing again. If it stops working, then we know the problem is with the Redirection settings.

    If it still doesn’t work with those two disabled, I would suggest running a conflict test as described in this document. Let us know how that goes.

    Hi there,

    Sorry for the late reply. I have tried doing all the steps you provided, but nothing resulted in the issue being fixed.

    On the page that you send me it says the next step is for me to contact a Happiness engineer. I cannot find anywhere how to do that. Can you help me with that?
