Product Drafts Showing in Category Views

Store URL: local env
WordPress version: 3.9
WP e-Commerce version: 3.8.13.4
Gold Cart version:
Theme: Mosaic

I did this:
Went to a category page, ex: /products-page/cat1/sub-cat1/

I expected WP e-Commerce to do this:
Show me all Published products in “sub-cat1”

Instead it did this:
Showed me Every product in “sub-cat1” no matter what the post status

More Info:
when I just go to /products-page, drafts do not show up. It only happens when I go to a category page under the products page
