Hi above link is an example,on the product feed file, i want the ‘description’ field to extract the short description on my website, in this example it is this text “There is nothing quite more classically beautiful than a bunch of tulips, so bring that wow factor with this card. As the recipient opens it, it will reveal a beautiful tulip pop-up, sure to impress.”

When i am in the feed attribute page, i did select short description as the value but when i view my excel, the description shows main description showing my video link which is not what i wanted.

On the feed “google_product_category” field in excel, should this be text or in number?

    Thanks for your help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi, to add short description, you need to keep the attribute as ‘Description’, and choose the value as ‘Short Description’. (see image)

I just tested it, and it worked just fine. So I suggest, if you have done it correctly, empty the browser cache and try again.

And for the Google product category, you need to use category mapping option in the plugin. Google will accept feed when you use the correct categories. You can either use full names of the categories or the category codes, both are accepted.

You can use this guide to generate accurate product feed for Google.

Hi, am i doing this correctly for the category mapping.

https://jmp.sh/HaTQJy9 –> I saw this code 2559 so in category mapping i just enter the code as shown on screenshot below? Is this correct?
    2559 – Arts & Entertainment > Party & Celebration > Gift Giving

https://jmp.sh/B6j0PRE –> Do I select category map? It doesn’t allow me to select though.

my website is currently selling all greeting cards so i use the code 2559 in google category, it is gift giving. Although greeting cards consist of wedding card, christmas card or birthday card I don’t have to enter all those right?

But i can always add new category Toys which I’m going to bring in again, by then i need to create another new category is it?

Ok, here’s how it works. When you set up a category mapping, you did gave a name to it. As I can see on your screenshot, you named it “WooCommerce Google Mapping.”

Google accepts both code or full form according to their category list.

When creating feed, on the value, scroll at the very bottom. You will find the Mapper you created listed there. Simply select that and the feed will include the mapped categories.

When you use ‘Static’ as attribute type, all products will get this same value. When you want to use a second category, you won’t be able to use static value. It’s better to use category mapping instead.

Let me know if you have confusions.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. https://jumpshare.com/v/XBYeYIO8IO1G2GEmNfMd I did try to scroll all the way to bottom and i can see Category mapping but it doesn’t allow me to select it. Video code is the last one which i can select. Doesn’t allow me to scroll further.

As I mentioned earlier, i also see different screen from this too.

Yes, the interface was updated for better output.

However, as you can see, there is a place for Mapper name. Set the Mapper name and scroll down, and Save. You will see the mapper has been saved. After that, you can go to create feed and on value, if you scroll down, you will find the saved category mapper.

Hi, i did what you said.. Set the Mapper name and scroll down, and Save. You will see the mapper has been saved.–> i can’t see mapper been saved.

I then go to create feed i cant see the saved category mapper which i created.

Hi i just try to login again using my phone and see there is changes I can now see it looks similar to your video instruction. So I can do the mapping now. Since I have set to auto sync I don’t have to do anything to the feed in merchant correct?

What should I do now to see my product in Google please? Create campaign in Google ads is it using the Google merchant feed I have?

No, you can login to your Google Merchant Center and on the left side, you will see the products tab.
