    Hi there,

I’m testing your plugin and I have not managed to generate the feed – it says it failed. I am testing on a staging site which is password protected to keep bots out. Could that be the reason it failed?

Also, once the feed is generated, can we manually adjust the “Brand” and “MPN” files to add brand names (we sell multiple brands and do not use GTIN numbers). In the feed which failed I did not select the Brand or GTIN source files as I am not sure what to enter for that.

    Hello @dav74

Thank you for using our plugin. Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the use of our plugin so let’s get you up and running.

What kind of message do you get when the feed fails?
Do you have any kind of screenshot that could help?

Our will create Unique identifier fields for you if you do not have them.
You just need to activate them in the settings page of our plugin.

If you already have a Brand field I would like to know how you have added them to woocommerce. (Are you using a plugin for that?)

You also can set the Identifier exists attribute to “no”
    That will help.

Let me know if you managed to get up and running with the info and tips.

    Thanks @aukejomm

Here is a screenshot of the fail message: https://ibb.co/qRht51W
All my Google sheets until now I have done manually without a plugin. We have no Brand field in WooCommerce. I just manually entered this information when I created a Google Sheet in Google Merchant.

As I said, I am testing your plugin on a site which is password protected (staging site). I wonder if that is a problem.

    Hi @dav74,

I don’t think the password protection is an issue, that should work.

I can’t seem to open the screenshot. Could you send that once more?

    Hi @michel-jongbloed

Thanks for the reply. Yes the image link expired but here it is again: https://ibb.co/DkC2SqX

I have disabled WP Cron and the cron task is enabled server end (to run every 10 minutes). Doubt that would be causing this issue but who knows…

Could you try the steps from this FAQ list:

    Let me know the results.

Thanks. Yes I tried and after I followed the first few steps (disabling then re-enabling plugin) I got it to work. But then after I made a change to the feed and tried again it strangely did not work. So very hit and miss, but I cannot get it to regenerate the feed anymore after trying multiple times and following the instructions you gave.

Maybe it is our firewall on the server.. not sure…

And steps 9 thru 12 then? I have not seen a ticket with the logging file.

And just to be sure, is your “Disable background processing” option on the Feed Manager Settings page on of off at the moment?

    Thread Starter dav74

    (@dav74)

Yes I tried doing that but your ticketing system does not allow to upload .log files. It says the file type not allowed.

    Ok, that’s wierd.

In that case, please send the .log file to michel @ wpmarketingrobot.com.
