    Our WordPress website has been extended with a Woocommerce module to showcase our products.

    However, the filters on the Products page in the backend don’t work:

    1) When I try to use the filter on category or product type it will show zero results
    2) When I try to use the Product search functionality it will show WordPress blog posts as result

    Does anyone here might have a clue what could cause this bug?

    Do you mean this section: https://cld.wthms.co/09chxQ ? If they aren’t working, then something is interferring. Either your theme or another plugin.

    Temporarily switch to the WordPress Twenty Seventeen Theme, and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. Then test again. If that resolves the issue, then slowly re-enable features until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.

    Hello guys, I’m in the same boat. I wanted to ask if there’s any way to revert this search feature to the older one, where you could see the full tree of categories?

    This snippet should restore the category tree dropdown:

    I don’t know about the product search.

    @lorro: AWESOME! Very thanks!

    In the other hand: why did WooCommerce changed this? Having all of the categories visible is very handy. You should add a checkbox in the settings to allow switching this for those who don’t know how to add snippets of code or create a functions plugin.

    Glad to hear it’s sorted!
