    Greetings,

New to WP and woocommerce, still in the process of trying to figure everything out.
Essentially, I was tasked with doing content maintenance.

The issue came when I was prompted to do a WP database update.
After the DB update prompt which I did, the product gallery add image feature stopped working.
Updated WP to the latest version as well as WooComerce, but the same issue persists.

I’ve even resorted to doing a restoration of the last back up files, however the backup progress just gets stuck on the “verifying” step.

Any tips and help would be highly appreciated

Hi! That’s a frustrating thing to have happen, for sure. This kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin, and a conflict test is usually the way to go to figure out what’s causing the problem.
    ?
The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

This is best done on a staging site. That’s a copy of your live site, so you can test things out without making changes to your actual site. Some hosting companies offer a staging site service within their hosting plans. If yours does not, there is a great free plugin that will allow you to build a complete staging site with a few button clicks: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging.

Hope that helps. Have a wonderful day ahead!

It seems like downgrading from ver 5.5.1 to 5.4.2 fixed the issue.

    Thank you!
