I have a WordPress account and using WooCommerce. Under the WooCommerce customisation settings I’m trying to set the Product Image Hover Style to ‘swap images’ so that every time someone hovers over the product image it will show the second picture. This always used to work but now when I try to save it and refresh the page, it just unsaves itself and then goes back to ‘none’ when you refresh. I’ve tried the other options under Product Image Hover Style like ‘zoom’ and ‘fade’ and both work and are able to save, but just not the swap images option. What seems to be the problem here?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @luniumlondon,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I understand the issue you’re experiencing with the product image hover style setting. This can be frustrating, and I’m here to help.

As a first step, this issue could be caused by caching. To troubleshoot, please deactivate any caching plugin in your store. If you’re not using any caching plugin, please ask your host to purge any cache from the server-side. Then, try to set the Product Image Hover Style to ‘swap images’ again.

If it works, this means there was a caching issue.

Please try this and let us know how it goes.

That did not fix the problem, after saving it just defaults back to ‘none’ on the product image hover style

I found the plugin that was causing the problem: it was Variation Swatches for WooCommerce. I deactivated the plugin so now the images are swapping again. How can I make the hover style and plugin work together?

    Hi @luniumlondon,

I found the plugin that was causing the problem:

I’m glad to hear you were able to identify the conflicting plugin.

How can I make the hover style and plugin work together?

Could you please share a direct link to the plugin so that we can know on what steps to take next?
