    WC ver 3.4.5 Free

I have spent hours searching for help on this issue (Changing product image size) to no avail. I read how WC recommends an image size of 800 pxs. I had edited the images in Photoshop CS6 (129 images) and set them all to 800 pixels max. After trying to find a way to change the image size in WC settings, I came up empty handed.

Back to PS CS6 and resize ALL 129 again to 600 pixels. Deleted the previous library of images and loaded up 129 images at 600 px. Taking care to notice where my image margins were in the page, I checked the 600 px images on the product page and found they are the same size as before.

Back to searching again. I did find some info on product images at: https://woocommerce.wordpress.com/2017/12/11/wc-3-3-image-size-improvements/
What’s interesting is the portion of the setting box shown in the link shows how to set Main Image width and Thumbnail Width. However those settings are not available in my up to date version on my store.

Let me say up front, I do not want to have to copy/paste any code snippets into my theme. To me it seems ridiculous to mot be able to easily adjust image size in WC after all the features they claim this product has.

Anyone else experience this or does anyone have a fix for this?

  • Sizes are located inside WP settings. Goto Settings > Media and then select the sizes you want everything to be.

Some themes have the size resize added to them and those will either be in Theme Options or Customizer depending on the theme.

If you change images inside Media you will need to use a regen tool to show the new sizes. Make sure all your images are at least up to the size you are changing too. Small images will not look good going large.
