• Hello – need to create a single-product page for woocommerce. I am using their core plugin, plus elementor and pro version.
I have tried troubleshooting and various fixes for several days, including, but not limited to:

    • I have deactivated child theme
    • I have optimized all images on site
    • tried making a single product template in HELLO theme (it worked, until hello crashed my site – fun.)
    • I have force regenerated thumbnails on every image in media library
    • i have installed and ran wp media cleaner and repaired all items with issues
    • I have deactivated all plugins except woo, elementor / pro
    • there is no custom code (i do not write code, obviously)
    • I have tried to adjust image settings in wp (I do not have the option to adjust any settings except thumbnail RATIO – no other image setting options appear in woo)
    • I have read all documentation

I’m struggling with exactly the same issue… Recently, all thumbnails on product pages suddenly disappeared and took the size of the main image. The WordPress core, theme and all plugins are up to date. I also went through all the usual and relevant troubleshooting steps, but unfortunately without any results.

    Hi @stellasmith22 ,

Thanks for reaching out and for sharing the troubleshooting steps you’ve tried so far. To help us get a clearer picture of the issue, could you please provide a URL to your site and a screenshot of the product page where the images are displaying incorrectly? I would like to start investigating from there.

Also, could you also let us know when you first noticed the thumbnails displaying the same size as the main images? Was it after an update? Any extra information about the timing could help us pinpoint the cause.

By the way, if you’ve recently updated WooCommerce to version 9.4.1, there should be a prompt to update your database as well. If you haven’t done this yet, please try updating it. If you don’t see the prompt at the upper part of your dashboard, you can go to WooCommerce → Status → Update Databse. Make sure to back up your site before doing any updates.

Looking forward to your response and getting this sorted out.

    Hi @reynierc

Here’s the link to my product page: https://satellietoriginals.net/product/evora-hs/

I first noticed the issue on November 8. Yesterday, I updated WooCommerce and the database, but the issue persists.

    Hi @stellasmith22 ,

Thanks for sharing the link and for providing the date when you first noticed it! I checked your site, and it seems the issue is affecting the product gallery. Was this part originally set up as a slider? Also, were you using a plugin to improve the product image gallery? I’m thinking that this might be caused by a plugin conflict.

Looking into the sourcecode of your page, I noticed you have a plugin called Easy Image Collage. Can you confirm if this was meant to enhance your product galleries? If so, try updating it or temporarily deactivating it to see if that helps.

To get a broader view of your site’s setup and to check other possible causes, please send us a system status report. You can get this by going to WooCommerce → Status, selecting Get system report, and then clicking Copy for Support. Then you can paste it here using the <code> block.

    Looking forward to your response.

Hello Everyone, Im having exactly the same issue, mine seems to be like a slider type of thing, because when i refresh the page, the image suddenly disappear, but if i click and drag to any of the sides, the image reappear and slides, so i do not know how to fix that, I have done all of the mentioned above but still i cant get the gallery to show the thumbnails.
Any help as well will be appreciate it. Im using elementor pro too.

    Thank you

    Hi @reynierc

If I remember correctly, the product image section was not set up as a slider. I’m not using a plugin to improve the product gallery and Easy Image Collage is only used on some post pages. Just to be sure, I deactivated all plugins except for WooCommerce once again, but the issue persists. You can find the system status report here.

    Hi @rickvangeelsatelliet ,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. If deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce doesn’t resolve the issue, it’s possible the problem is caused by thumbnails generated with the incorrect size by another plugin. In that case, you can try the following steps:

    1. Deactivate the conflicting plugin again.
    2. Re-upload the affected images directly into the Product Gallery (not the Media Library), as WooCommerce regenerates thumbnails properly when images are uploaded through the Product Gallery.

If the issue persists, I recommend using the Force Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to regenerate all thumbnails. Be sure to deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce before performing this step, and then recheck if the issue is resolved.

To ensure safety while troubleshooting, I strongly advise performing these actions in a staging environment. You can create a staging site using the WP Staging plugin. This way, you can test changes without affecting your live site.

Finally, to align with forum best practices, please create a new topic for your issue so we can provide tailored support and avoid confusion. You can create a new thread here:

Thank you for your understanding, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
