• Hi,

I must say that you have created a robust plugin that is really helpful and gives decent looks to the emails sent from woocommerce.

The product images in the order confirmation emails are not being shown either for the customer or for the admin.

Even in the email customizer, they are not showing. A broken image logo is just being shown instead of the product image.

Everything else looks fine otherwise, even the logo is shown correctly.

Please help me resolve this issue and oblige.

    Thanks in advance,

    -muteyaar

  • Hi Ben,
    Thank you for your reply.
I confirm that image is definitely there and the link is correct (I can see it in the customizer and by clicking on the link in chrome and firefox).
I confirm gmail does not break any of the images from the newsletters I send out to my customers.
I contacted my web hosting company again and they said ”The issue seems to be present only with Email Accounts associated with Gmail.I can confirm that there is nothing on the server that blocks images from being seen from certain senders.”
So if it’s gmail I don’t know what to do as it’s probably the most used email company in the world :/

Ok… Out of the blue, the images are now showing!! All I did is deactivate the plugin, reactivated the other Woocommece Email Customizer plugin, deactivated it then reactivated yours and sent a test email… Baffling but fingers crossed it’s now working for good ??
I was wondering if there was a way to add a different image in the header for each email type?

I don’t think I was clear, I can not see this image when I try to go to it in my browser: https://mixedmediastore.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Thank-you-for-your-order-at-the-Mixed-Media-Store-Australia-1.jpg

It returns a 404. That has nothing to do with any email inbox. If I try to directly access that url your server returns a 404 error.

I’m saying that if you can see the image when you access it directly it proves that your server is blocking images for certain people and this isn’t an issue with Gmail to any email plugin it’s an issue with your server blocking images from some people. Which means the error will show again as soon as someone tries to view your email and your server decides to block access.

I hope that makes more sense. Your issue is still there because I still can’t see your image.

There isn’t an option for header images on a template by template basis.

    Ben

    Hi Ben,
I understood what you said and I can’t explain why you cannot see the image. I have never had anyone in 3 years telling me they cannot access an image from our site.
The web hosting company said there was nothing blocking on the server so I do not what to say or why it’s suddenly showing in gmail when it didn’t before.
The social icons integrated in your plugin, which you said were definitely not missing, were not showing either and started showing at the same time as my header image.

I contacted the hosting company again and they said:

The link is working and the file is present. We are unable to recreate the issue even using a proxy, which makes it very hard to guess why your customer states he cannot see it, especially since you are able to access it as well, and there are no issues on your end also. If the server is blocking the display of it, neither us, nor you would be able to see it.

I’m only trying to help, above is what pingdom gets when they try to bring up that image.

Seems to me that you have something redirecting or in some way manipulating access to the image file.

    Best of luck!

    Ben

I know you’re trying to help and I appreciate your input.
Nothing was personal, I’m just telling you what they told me and what is happening.
I am no expert at this and have no idea why you can’t access the image and what could redirect or manipulate it.
    Thanks!
    mimi
