product list categories in Admin are not shown translated

Hello,
When I go to the products page from the admin menu the whole product list is shown as table grid and one column is the category name.
All columns are shown in the the language i choose to work with except the Categories column it shows the whole string like:

[en]Category in English[:de]Category in German

The same is for the dropdown which says Select Category.

This is very annoying actually…
