I would like to reference this because it’s the only other thing I’ve found similar:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/product-names-changing/

What’s happening is that occasionally (I think when someone purchases a product, but I’ve found it also when a product was just looked at), the product name will change to say ‘checkout’. The product name will be changed so that on the order it says that the name is ‘checkout’, and then also the actual product name in the database is changed.

I have no idea how you would replicate it because I can’t replicate it, but it is a real thing that is happening.

    Here’s a screenshot:

    Thanks,
    Josh

  • Hello @aumjosh,

I ran across an issue like this back in December. In that case, the trouble was caused by a plugin called Enhanced E-commerce for Woocommerce store version 2.2.2.

If you have that active on your site, try deactivating it and make a test order and see if the problem is resolved.

If you don’t have that active on your site, then I would suggest making a full conflict test. Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and switch to one of the default themes like Twenty Nineteen. Then test again.

If everything works, then that points to a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme. Start activating them and test as you go. The last one activated before the problem comes back is likely the source of the issue.

Let me know what you find out.

    Cheers

    Hello @3sonsdevelopment,

Thanks for your reply. I have this plugin enabled.
Most of the time the product’s name is not changed. It’s a rare occurrence, so even deactivating the plugin won’t tell me anything, because I’m not sure what within the plugin is triggering the issue.

Since I’m running a live store, I cannot really do a full conflict test, and I don’t really want to deactivate the plugin since it’s mostly functioning fine and I lack the time to figure out how to make the integration myself.

However, this gives me the ability to better troubleshoot the issue when it does happen again so I appreciate you taking the time to let me know.

    Regards,
    Josh

    Hey Josh,

You might consider setting up a test site on your local computer with only WooCommerce and “Enhanced E-commerce for Woocommerce” active. Then create some test orders and see if you can duplicate this issue. If you can, I would suggest reaching out to the developer and see if they can look into that for you. They may have a fix for it.

Let us know if we can help out.

    Cheers
