I see the envira tab at the top of my product page. But I’ve searched all over and can’t figure out how to add that to the gallery page so that the gallery thumbnails show up under the main product image. I want customers to be able to scroll through the additional photos. Right now it looks like the only place I can put the code is in the details tab or description section.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @freezemn ??

I’m not sure I understand? Is this a Woocommerce product page? I’m getting a 404 on that page link.

Does the place you’re trying to enter the shortcode (if tabbed area or custom post type) accepts shortcodes you could just copy/paste the shortcode in that area.

    Thanks

Hi @aky01usa, I’m not sure why you received that error. It is working now.

In WP, on the right side of the product page, it has a section for the “Product Image” which is where I can upload the main picture for the page. Below that there is a section called “Product Gallery” which allows me to import related pictures I want to display on the page. Problem is, they just post on the page and it’s not easy to scroll through them etc. User experience is bad.

So I installed Envira which has great scroll through options. However, I can’t place it into the location where the “product gallery” displays (right below the main picture). The code has to be placed in the Description areas, which end up either on a description tab at the bottom of the page or within the text describing the product above the price. The space below the main picture is unused and I don’t understand why it can’t be placed there somehow.

    Does that help?

Oh I see, yes – thank you for the clarification.

Unfortunately it sounds like they aren’t allowing for our shortcode to be put anywhere on their admin page except for the content area of the post.

I’m not sure there’s much that can be done unless you start to customize their page with maybe the ACF plugin to add a field that would accept a shortcode and then edit that page template in a child theme to call in the field instead of their standard gallery function.

You could reach out to their support to see if they have any better suggestions as the suggestion I’ve made is very custom and would require some code changes in a child theme.

    Hi @aky01usa,

By “their page” do you mean my theme’s home/shop page (Envo Store Theme)?

Well I’m not familiar with the theme so I’m not sure if they have custom page templates for the Woocommerce product page or not but the admin page I’m referring to is the Woocommerce admin Product page. Where you enter the specific details about your product.

If Woocommerce doesn’t allow a shortcode to appear there then you’d need to customize this section with ACF.

Then create a child theme of your theme so you can add a dedicated php template for the single-product.php which is what Woocommerce (unless your theme has a custom php template included in their theme files) would use to display the single product information.

    Does that help?
