    Hi,
For the past few days whenever I create a new product in my website and set the product image after cropping it with the edit image option, the product page shows the unedited image. the thumbnails and the zoomed images are all shown correctly with the cropping in place. I crop the images because they sometimes have text on the top and bottom that I want to exclude. I use woocommerce and elementor (for site editing) and have a VanTam theme. Please help me and let me know how to fix this. I have tried to roll back the elementor version and disabling plugins but nothing seems to work.

  • Hello,

Are you editing the images using the customizer?
Here there is a tutorial example.

As an alternative can you crop the image using an image editor? Then upload the new image to the product? Let us know if that worked.

Or you can use a plugin to do that, for example:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/imagemagick-engine/

I hope this points you in the right direction.

    Hi @ihereira,
I have been using the wordpress media editor for cropping my images. I could use a different application to crop the image before uploading it but i still want to find out what is causing this action in wordpress

There is a possibility that the cropped version (using the WordPress media editor) is not getting saved or updated due to some reason. That is why we would like to see if the same problem happens if you use an image that is already cropped before loading to WordPress.

Please give that a try. If that makes no difference, please include a copy of your site’s System Status in your reply. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
