As a first step, please update your WooCommerce core, and database by going to WooCommerce > Status > Tools > Update Database.

If this did not resolve the issue, can you please try to switch to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce plugin is enabled and see if this works?

If so, then this kind of problem is usually caused by your theme or a third-party plugin present on your site. We can run a conflict test to verify this. I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment and performing the tests described on this guide without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

If this was caused by a third-party plugin present on your site, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

If this did not resolve the issue, provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

There are no fatal errors.

The woocommerce_run_product_attribute_lookup_update_callback hook is the only scheduled action that is associated with that product’s ID so I think that must be somehow related. Is there a way to disable that hook?

I understand your point of view. Just to be sure, can you navigate to WooCommerce > status > scheduled actions > pending, then run manually the pending actions? I saw one pending action when checking the system report. Once you run it, give it a while, and let us know if the product is still switching to draft.

To clarify, did you perform the updates and conflict test as recommended by xue28? Does the issue persist after that?

The product did revert to draft status again on the production site.

I did setup a staging site with only the updated WooCommerce plugin (and database for it) and the Storefront theme but that scheduled action does not appear on the staging site.

Can you please clear the site cache? You can check that with your web-host as well. Chances are that the caching might affect the normal behavior.

Hi there @mcmwebsol,

I cleared the site cache after updating WooCommerce to 7.1.0 (including the database) but the product reverted to draft status again afterwards.

The new WooCommerce Status report is below (URL is redacted)

Thank you for the update on this. From what I gather, this only happens with one product:

I have a product that keeps reverting to draft status.

Could you please try the following:
1. Create a new product
2. Enter all the information that the now draft has
3. Delete the one reverting to draft and then save the newly created
4. See if the issue persists
