    JimmyK I have the same problem with latest wordpress + woocommerce. Do you mind sharing what you did to fix it?

    Well I tried increasing WP_MEMORY_LIMIT in my wp_config.php file, I changed the site’s PHP version to 5.4, deactivated plugins etc. So I switched to a default theme and it works.. So, in my case it was theme related and I need to find out how to solve this now..

    I just checked another site with the same theme and the category filter works fine there so it must be a combination of the theme and server settings? Or the theme and number of products because the site with the problems has 1500 products and the site with category filter working and the same theme has max 20 products..
