Example search term? System status report?

Yes I am having this issue,
creamiicandy.com, i search anything and it doesnt come up, same when i go look at my orders or products and try searching

Having a similar issue In Dashboard / Woocommerce / Products / Search Products

When I search for an existing product name, I get No Products Found. However, I can use the Filters to search by date, category, type, SEO score — all these work. It’t just entering a product name that doesn’t work.

I submitted a ticket and got the usual: switch to a standard theme, deactivate ALL plugins, etc. Well that’s just ridiculous. The last time I deactivated all my plug-ins, it took me most of day to reactivate them properly — and it still didn’t lead to a solution.

There has to be a better way for WC to deal with these known issues than dump it on the user to deconstruct their entire website. Mine happens to be a very active ecommerce site, so that means all business stops and customers get pissed off.

I don’t think its ridiculous at all. Support staff are not psychic – how are they to know another plugin is not affecting this?

It’s not a known issue; it works perfectly fine on all of my sites. Live example for proof:

I’d suggest setting up a test install or staging area to narrow down your issue if you want to test without affecting your real store.

creamiicandy posted his own thread and wasn’t even talking about the backend search.

I deactivated my most recent Woocommerce plugin, WooCommerce Simply Order Export. This returned the Dashboard / Woocommerce / Products / Search Products functionality. Really need that plugin (or one like it) to do sales reports. They have a Pro version, which I may try.

Okies. Please report to the author anyhow so they can patch it.
