Product Search Plugin is not working!

I am trying to use the “Prosperent search bar” widget on the left side bar but I have the following problems:

1) the search bar appears at the bottom of the page and not on the left side bar.

2) no matter what I search for, it always goes to my product main page.

Any help would be appreciated.
