Product Sharing on the product detail page with WhatsApp

    Hello WordPress respectively OceanWP User,

    Unfortunately I don’t find anything about my problem in the forum.

    On the product detail page, I can only activate Twitter, Facebook, Mail and Pinterest (I use Ocean Product Sharing) in the Customizer / Product Sharing.
    How I can add my own social share button such as WhatsApp or with which plugin can I solve the problem?
    On my favorite list, I was able to solve the problem with the plugin TI wishlist.

  • Hi @joerg10 thank you for choosing OceanWP. The product sharing feature is handled by the Ocean Product Sharing plugin.
    In order to add or remove sharing options, please follow the steps in this support article: https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/306-add-remove-edit-the-social-product-sharing-links

    Hi sansolo,

    okay, i followed the video tutorial to get started with Product Sharing. but I already have all of that.

    My problem is, I want to create my own social sharing link, like WhatsApp for example.

    And I think for that I have to follow this article: Adding / Removing / Editing the Social Product Sharing Links

    so far so good.

    But how can I create a templates folder into my child theme?

    And where can I find files?

    (Copy and paste the product-share.php file into the extra folder, this file is in ocean-product-sharing/template of the Ocean Product Sharing extension.)
    Where is the file ocean-product-sharing/template?

    I have no idea. Is there a video tutorial at the universe?

    Hello,

    By following the doc you can install the child theme.
    https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/90-sample-child-theme

    After installation, create a templates folder and an extra folder within this folder.

    product-share.php file, You will get in the plugin folder by following the path /plugins/ocean-product-sharing/template
