    Hi,

Is there a way to create a product slide show?

Also, we found out none of the 4 slider types have touch control? (going through the slides by touch and drag)

    Regards,
    Sven

  • Hi,

Yes, this is possible using Post Feed Slide feature from MetaSlider Pro version.

I’ve made a short recording for you to see how it works in action – https://share.getcloudapp.com/DOuD1rN1

You can also check the documentation on how Post Feed Slide works – https://www.metaslider.com/post-feed-slides/

In regards to your question with touch and swipe controls. All 4 types of sliders are able to detect touch control on mobile but only FlexSlider has the swipe feature.

I hope I have answered your questions clearly. Let us know if you need anything else.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Arreane,

    Thank you that is informative.

    1. We do need touch swipe, so I guess flexslider is the remaining option. Does it have the same performance as Responsive Slides? We don’t want our website to load slow on mobile devices.

    2. Does it allow us to choose “most recent”, “most popular” etc.?

    3. Can the post feed slider also show product categories? We’d like to show child categories and product category pages.

    Regards,
    Sven

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

ResponsiveSlides.js is actually one of the types of slides MetaSlider offers.

    R. Slides actually represents to ResponsiveSlides.js. Unfortunately, R. Slides doesn’t support swipe feature.

You can verify it from the their site: https://responsiveslides.com/

    2. Does it allow us to choose “most recent”, “most popular” etc.?
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to sort MetaSlider by most recent and most popular as of the moment. It can only be sorted by the following:

    • Publish Date
    • Post ID
    • Author
    • Post Title
    • Post Slug
    • Modified Date
    • Random
    • Menu Order

    3. Can the post feed slider also show product categories? We’d like to show child categories and product category pages.
If what you meant is if products can be filtered by categories, then yes, products can be filtered by any categories including child categories. You can see it in the video I provided under 1:25 mark – https://share.getcloudapp.com/DOuD1rN1

but If you want to display the product categories and link it to the category pages then you can achieve that by just creating a basic slide.

MetaSlider actually offers a 30 Day Risk-free money back guarantee. So you can try the MetaSlider Pro version and test it for your self. You can ask for a refund if you’re dissatisfied with the plugin.

Let us know if you need anything else.

    Kind Regards,
    Arreane
