  • Hi @modabbir

All product slug was missing. I have updated some slugs manually. Can you please check the reason?

From what I understand, you’ve been experiencing an issue with missing product slugs on your site, and you’ve had to manually update some of them. I appreciate your patience and diligence in handling this issue.

I’ve taken the time to review your site and system status report, but I was unable to replicate the issue you described on my end. This could mean that the problem may have been a temporary glitch or it’s specific to certain conditions that weren’t present during my review.

The product slug is usually automatically generated from the product title when you create a new product and can be manually edited in the product’s permalink settings. If this didn’t happen, it could be due to a plugin conflict, a caching issue, or an issue with the theme you’re using.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Clear your browser cache and cookies: Sometimes, old or corrupted cache and cookies can cause such issues.
    2. Refresh your permalinks: Go to your WordPress dashboard, then navigate to Settings > Permalinks. Simply click ‘Save Changes.’ This action refreshes your site’s permalink structure and might solve the problem.
    3. Disable Plugins: Try turning off all plugins except WooCommerce to see if there’s a conflict between any of your plugins and WooCommerce.
    4. Switch Themes: Try switching to a default WordPress theme like Storefront temporarily. If the issue is resolved, your current theme might be the problem. Here’s a handy guide on how to test for conflicts: ?? How to Test for Plugin and Theme Conflicts.

If the issue persists after these steps, could you provide more details? It would be useful to know if this happens with new products or existing ones. Are there any specific steps you take before noticing the issue? A screenshot demonstrating the problem would be very helpful. You can share screenshots using https://snipboard.io. Just follow the page instructions and paste the URL in your reply.

Lastly, could you share the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Once you’ve gathered this information, please paste it inside a Code block in your reply, or use https://pastebin.com to paste it and share the link with us.

Thanks for your patience and cooperation in this matter! We’re here to help you get this sorted.

Thank you for your reply and for providing the error logs. I’ve reviewed them and I can confirm that there are no major errors related to the product slug issue you’ve been experiencing.

I understand your concern about the issue possibly recurring. However, without a clear indication of what caused the issue in the first place, it’s challenging to predict if it might happen again.

I would recommend keeping a close eye on the product slugs for a while. If you notice the issue reoccurring, please let us know immediately. It would be beneficial if you could note any patterns or specific actions you performed before noticing the problem, as this could help us identify the root cause.

Moreover, ensure that your WordPress, WooCommerce, and all other plugins are updated to their latest versions. Outdated versions can sometimes cause unexpected issues.

Also, you may want to consider using a staging site, which is a clone of your live website. This allows you to test any changes or updates before applying them to your live site, reducing the risk of issues like this happening. The ?? WP STAGING – Backup Duplicator & Migration plugin can help you set this up.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns. We’re here to help!
