Product thumbnails not showing

    Hello, I hope you can help me.

    I have a WP site with WooCommerce, using The7 theme and Visual Composer.

    Product category pages show only titles and bullet points; no images. The titles do link to the product pages.

    I inherited this site to manage a few months back. We haven’t really used categories before on this site for display purposes, so I’m not sure how long the problem has existed. Linked products (cross-selling) also have the same problem.

    The system status report is below.

    Any help or advice that you could give me would be deeply appreciated.

    Hi Ian ( @utopianartsfest ),

    Looking at the category on your site which you referenced there are no product titles, images or prices displaying.

    Cross testing for you this is isolated to only your install however and is not something which is displaying on any of my test sites, behaviour like this could be being caused by your activated theme or a plugin you have activated on your on your site.

    To test of this is the case disable all plugins aside from WooCommerce and also temporarily change theme to a theme like the free Storefront theme and see if the behaviour persists.

    Hi Stuart,

    Thanks for getting back to me. I have a local (XAMPP) copy of the site. Switching the theme to StoreFront enabled all the thumbnails (by category, product search, etc.) to show normally.

    How would I go about finding which element of the theme is causing this problem; as it seems endemic, I suppose it’s one of the core functions.

    It looks like the problem is related to the theme’s template structure. Check the template the theme uses for categories (and maybe compare with how Storefront handles this) to find a solution. You could also get in touch with the theme’s authors here: https://support.dream-theme.com/
