    Hi,

    When using a trial period for a product on Shopp, for instance 7 days free then recurring billing thereafter, does anyone know why the PayPal button no longer appears on the checkout page?

    The customer simply completes order at ￡0.00 cost.

    This presumably means that there is no way to effectively set up a trial period for a client or customer as they cannot be billed on the given date, due to no PayPal requests being made.

    This negates the functionality of that feature and I wondered if there is a line of code that may be changed to introduce the PayPal button for this process, so payment can in fact be billed after the end of the trial period.

    I think I’ve discovered the logic. You need to set a cost for the trial period, even if that’s just ￡1.00. It maybe to do with the PayPal payment processor, I’m not sure. Time to redesign my marketing flyers ??
