Product Variation dropdown not showing up

I have create a product with attribute ‘Strength’ and variations of 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and all product settings including the price is set correctly. The issue is the drop down menu to select the variation is missing! But when I click where is should be is shows up – then disappears again when I click outside the area. Also, when I have is visible and I make a selection and select add to cart I get and error asking me to make the selection.

A solution I found was to add css to the theme which I did but the result is not what I have above – here is that css.

.woocommerce-ordering select,div.product form.cart .variations td.product_value select{opacity:3}

Any ideas?
