I have basically 2 product variations, color, and size. Despite consistent addition of product data when these appear on the Shop Page and are opened in normal or quick view, the appearance is not the same for each product.

Sometimes both color and size are displayed as dropdown boxes. Sometimes the sizes are shown as a list. Sometimes colors are displayed in color circles. Sometimes colors appear above sizes but on other occasions reversed. Basically, there is no consistency in how these 2 variations are displayed to customers.

This does not present a good image and is not user friendly. What I would prefer is a situation where sizes appear in a dropdown because often there are many different sizes, but colors I would like to display the color in a swatch so that a customer can actually see what the color actually is.

If you visit the site URL and click on a few products you will see exactly what I mean.

Any suggestions to rectify this appreciated

  • Hello @adrian33000 ,

In general, WooCommerce will show all variation options under a dropdown.

Now, your current theme or any other plugin can override how variations are shown. If you are using a variation overriding plugin or your theme has this feature then please reach out to them to know how you can make them consistent in all products.

You can deactivate all plugins and switch to a default theme to confirm that all variations are shown as a dropdown.

    Thank you ??

Thanks and you are right it turns out to be a non WooCommerce plugin. When disabled WC shows dropdowns for both size and color. Not sure yet if it is a conflict or not configured correctly.

It also seems that how you list the Attributes in Products will affect the order on the front end. If you put color first and then size that is how it appears. Conversely, if you put size first and then color it appears in that order.

    Hello @adrian33000 ,

I am glad to know that you have found the conflicting plugin. The best way to know details about it will be to get in touch with the plugin developer.

Thanks for sharing this finding that the position of attributes in a single product page can be changed on each product by drag & drop. I am sure someone else will find it useful.

    Cheers!
