    Hi there,

I have been trying to add product variations to a certain product on the single product page underneath the description. Of what i see it should be an easy task, I followed a couple of guides to set this up but every time the result is not what i’m looking for.

I want the variations to be shown as a simple dropdown menu where u can choose the size of clothing u want. The result at the moment is that for every variation a radio button is produced with an image and the price right next to it. I also found it weird that it says ”Choose pricing option” instead of choose size. Is there a way that so that it displays as a simple dropdown menu, or as buttons via the ‘swatches’ plugin for example.

    Thank you in advance!

  • Hi @gtsonny

I understand that basically you are trying to set up variable products. (The page link is not working)

Please first check if your product is set up correctly as explained in this guide: https://woocommerce.com/document/variable-product/ . It will help displaying the variations as a dropdown menu.

If you are using any plugins you may want to get in touch with the plugin developer as this support forum is for questions and issues specifically for the WooCommerce core plugins. We don’t offer support on this forum for paid extensions purchased on WooCommerce.com or for third-party plugins.

    Hi Margaret,

I did follow this guide step by step and I didn’t get the same result as showed in the article (a dropdown menu), but got 5 different radio buttons instead. The link should work now so you can see, thank you!

    Hello @gtsonny,

Those variations radio buttons and image variation swatches are added by your Food Store plugin and your Savoy theme. You can check this by inspecting the page. Here are some screenshots:

If you want the variations to be shown as a dropdown menu you can look for a theme that has that in-built feature. Alternatively, you can reach out to your theme author to see if there is an option for that in the theme itself. Here’s their contact page: https://nordicmade.ticksy.com/.

I’m going to close this thread now since the issue is not related to the WooCommerce core plugin. Feel free to create a new topic if you have any more questions.

    Cheers.
