On this page, there are three sections toward the bottom; the issue is with the middle and right areas: “New in the Store” and “On Sale Items.” The page is built using Elementor and the widgets that are used there are the ones added by WooCommerce themselves (see https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-widgets/), so it’s their widgets.

As to the middle section, I have that widget set to list all products descending by date. This way, it should show the most recently added products. However, it’s not.

As to the right section, I have that widget set to list randomly products that are on sale. However, it’s also not doing that.

Rather, both are showing the exact same things (which should not the case with my store because I just added some items that are not on sale).

I’ve tried deactivating other plugins and changing to the default theme, but it makes no difference. I can’t disable Elementor because then the site breaks. I can’t disable WooCommerce because that disables the widgets that aren’t working (again, it’s WC’s widgets).

Anyone have any thoughts? I’m baffled.

    Hi there ??

That’s strange! I ran a quick test on my end, and the widgets worked perfectly while using the Storefront theme (WC default theme).

This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin. So please check for conflicts one more time but by following the steps below.
    ?
The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

Please kindly note that if the issue is only happening when the Elementor theme is active, then you should contact them so that they can help you with that issue.

    Before you start

    1. First, please make sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. Most hosting companies have this included in the subscription, but you could also consider using a service like?Jetpack. If something goes wrong, it’s nice to know that you can restore your site.
    2. Second, I would suggest installing a plugin called?Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it allows you to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

    I hope that helps!

    Sorry, been very busy.

I tried changing themes, deactivating plugins. Turns out the problem is with my theme, OceanWP. I’ve reached out to them.
