    Hi.
The parameter “columns” doesn’t work with “product_categories” shortcode.

    It always display 4 columns.
    Any fix?

  • I tried this with Storefront and 2, 3, 4 & 5 columns and it worked fine.

Did you make sure your inverted commas are straight ones? Curly inverted commas won’t work.

    Yes.
If I use 5 columns, Woocommerce displays 4 in same line and 1 category below.
No way to set columns in this shortcode.

    I’m using VIRTUE free theme.

Concur. When I use Virtue (free) I get 4 columns irrespective of the shortcode settings, and also irrescpective of the “products_per_row” setting in the customizer. Maybe because Virtue is using a masonry layout. Anyway, it works in Storefront.

So WooCommerce is working fine, but there is some issue with the styling of the columns in Virtue (free). You’ll need to take it up with Virtue support:

    – it does look like the authors are responsive – or switch to Storefront or another theme which has styles which respect the shortcode.
