product_page shortcode “hijacks” edit screen

When using the product_page shortcode. When I go back and try to edit the page I used the shortcode on the editor shows the edit screen address for the page (site_addr/wp-admin/post.php?post=884&action=edit), but displays the title and content of the product.
In other cases the (edit) page is blank and javascript console shows dozens of react 200 errors
