    Hi,

I have installed the plugin via the link provided in Google Merchant. Did not follow the setup instruction in wp-admin (yet), but all products are listed in Merchant. How is this possible? This means setup in wp-admin is not needed anymore?

    Hello @guido07111975,

    Thank you for reaching out!

I have installed the plugin via the link provided in Google Merchant. Did not follow the setup instruction in wp-admin (yet), but all products are listed in Merchant. How is this possible?

That’s unusual, I’m sure there’s an explanation for it. Even after completing the setup instructions, products may require a day to sync with the merchant centre, assuming all products meet Google’s requirements.

Could you please attach a few screenshots of what you see in WooCommerce and Google Merchant?

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, here are a few free options:

It would be great if you could attach a copy of your system status as well. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support” (after you scroll down a bit)”. Once done, please paste it here in your reply or via a text-sharing service like https://gist.github.com/.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

    Hi Saif,

Have contacted client and it seems it’s possible to let Google itself index the site. He did that. I thought the products were listed in Merchant because of me installing plugin, but I guess it’s not me.

    Hi Guido

This should be a feature Google provides, where it can crawl a website and automatically list products on Google Merchant. Google Support can provide you with more details about this.

However, using the Google Listings & Ads plugin gives you more control over the products you want to list and how they are displayed on Google Merchant. It also helps you manage your Google Ads directly from your WooCommerce dashboard.

So, even though the products are already listed, it’s still recommended to complete the setup for the Google Listings & Ads plugin.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or need further clarification.

    Cheers.

    Hi Mirko,

Thanks again for your reply. Just started to work with Merchant, so still have a lot to learn ??
