Widgets (I’m trying to use slider and auto-suggest) are only displaying their title, no products. The slider widget does list the products in its settings, but they don’t show on the site.

The shortcode also fails to display any products.

There are five products in the store, across two categories.

It’s still a development site. I have tried disabling all other plugins, but it didn’t help. Maybe I missed something but the fact that products are listed in the slider widget and can be selected appears to confirm everything is properly linked up.

    Any help much appreciated. ??

I’d be happy to take a look if you were to provide a link to your site.

When debugging, which is what you’re doing, in addition to disabling other plugins, it’s equally important to switch to a bundled theme.

    Hi

    Thanks for the quick response.

    Site is at https://176.32.230.42/simplyawesomevapor.co.uk/
Idiosyncrasy: the URL will usually need the final forwardslash to load because it’s currently not a live domain.

It’s using the Twenty-Fourteen theme, I switched to that from the custom one which was created using Artisteer.

Couple of things you can try.

    1) Clear the caches in the plugin settings page.
    2) Toggle the permalink settings on your blog to anything else, and then back to whatever you want them to be.
    3) That backslash thing is weird. Try it without that.

I think it’s the backslash thing. How are you doing that, exactly? What is that?

    Hmm. I think you’re right.

The site is being developed on a shared server, pre-transfer of the domain, so it’s just a subdirectory on an ip address. I’m assuming the ECWID API doesn’t cope with that kind of URL.

There’s no easy workaround because until this version is finished, the old site has to remain up and running on the domain – and i don’t host it until transfer. Simple answer is to wait until I have transferred the domain.

    Yes and no.

The Ecwid API actually is doing just fine. I can see your data load properly if I include a slash in the data url:

    https://176.32.230.42/simplyawesomevapor.co.uk/?feed=widgets.html&which_widget=SJF_ET_Slider&which_products=57582372%2C57582408%2C57582412%2C57582429&image_size=smallThumbnailUrl&which_categories=

Really, it’s my fault for building my plugin in such a way that it cares if there is a slash or not. I’ll see if I can reproduce this problem on my local environment and fix it.

Alright so, I found that on my local, I was able to get Ecwid data to load, whether or not I have a slash in the url like that.

I’m not sure what you’re doing to achieve this behavior, where your site works with a slash but not without. If you could tell me, I’d give it a try.

Thanks for checking all that out. The iste is live now so the problem became unimportant as the trailing slash doesn’t affect it live.

    Great support though. Thanks.
