    I’m using WPML.
Connected your plugin to facebook. Goods were successfully uploaded to the catalog in different languages. All data is displayed correctly (title, description and so on). But there is a problem with the link to the product.
My main language is Italian. All language versions of the product have the link of the Italian product, but not its versions in other languages.
For example a product in Polish has a title and description in Polish, but the link is to the Italian version of the product page.
    What to do?

  • Hello ileiaeu,

Thank you for contacting Woo support.

I understand that you’re encountering an issue where product links are directed to the Italian version of the product page, rather than the corresponding language version.

To list products in multiple languages/currencies on Facebook, multiple feeds by country/language would have to be created which is currently not supported by Facebook for WooCommerce.

We are always looking for suggestions and ideas on how our products can be improved.
If you are willing to share your thoughts, please submit a feature request.
Our developers use this to help them decide on which features to build next.

Let me know if you have any other questions. ??

    Best regards.

I’m not talking about feeds for different countries. Now products in all languages are uploaded to Facebook without any problems. The only problem is that the link doesn’t match the description on products in other languages. This is a bug rather than a lack of a feature.

You say – no country fids are supported. What does this have to do with the fact that the text in the product is loaded in different languages, but the link is not? It has nothing to do with that!

    Hey, @ileiaeu!

    Thank you for the clarification.

Do you mind sharing the URL for your website so we can check how it is set up and investigate this further?

You mentioned you used WPML to have a multilingual site, right?

Are the different language products added as separate products on the website or as one product and WPML creates a translated version?

Furthermore, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    wpml – yes

Each product is created separately and has its own versions in different languages. Everything is translated using the basic WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency plugin.

Is it safe to send system report data here ?

    Hello ileiaeu

    Thank you for your reply.

I did some more research about integration of WPML and Facebook for WooCommerce plugins.

This post shows that WPML creates separate “versions” of a product in different languages with unique URLs. Due to this, all product versions are treated as individual products and should be synced with the Facebook catalog. All of this is controlled by Facebook.

Could you please share your Facebook Shop’s link?
I want to verify how products are synced there.

I look forward to your response. ??

    Best regards.

    Hey, @ileiaeu!

    Thank you!

I checked the store and saw that, as you mentioned, the product on the Instagram direct to the Italian version https://ile.it/shop/choker-bicolore/, while it should direct to https://ua.ile.it/shop/choker-bikolor/.

Can you please share a screenshot of how this product is set up in both languages in the back end so we can take a look?

    This is what we need:

    Hi @ileiaeu,

Thank you. Can you please share screenshots that include the Facebook Product Sync box on the right panel?

Can you try the “Reset facebook metadata” option in there, too, please?

    Let us know!

Every product has this data. Resetting does not solve the problem

    ?? hey @ileiaeu

After doing a web search, it appears WPML has a document posted, with known issues. I’d recommend taking a look at them.

Moreover, feel free to reach out to its support channel (linked here), as they would be in a better position to assist you.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.

You send me to them, they send me to you. If we read the link you gave, we see the following text:

We’ve contacted WooCommerce for a permanent fix, but have yet to hear back. Since the issue needs to be resolved with changes to the plugin code, we cannot assist any further other than by providing the workaround detailed above.

If you are experiencing issues and would like to push this fix forward to WooCommerce, feel free to leave a support ticket with the author here:?https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/?(you will need to be logged into WordPress.com).

So this is a problem on your end, not WPML’s end.

    Hi @ileiaeu,

Just to check, have you tried the workaround provided by WPML on that post while our dev team looks into this and fixes it?

    Thanks!

I tried adding a feature, but it didn’t solve my problem.
It’s good if you know about this problem and are already working on it
