Products not displaying
-
This is actually happening on a number of product category pages. I have the products setup in WordPress with categories so they are supposed to display under their category page as well as under all products.
This only started happening sometime in February I believe. Before that it was fine. This is happening for both in and out of stock items. I have the check box selected to show out of stock items.
Here are a couple examples of products that display on the All Products and Single Product page but not under the Trinket Trays & Boxes product category page.
https://dazzeldesigns.com/product/golden-serenity-trinket-jar-with-lid/
https://dazzeldesigns.com/product/seraphic-wing-trinket-tray/
These are both in stock.
Here is an example of a product that is out of stock but won’t display under 3-Tier Tray product category page.

Hi @angel123000 ,
Thanks for reaching out!
I took a look at both of the category pages you mentioned, and from what I can see, the products you shared seem to be displaying correctly:
Just to double-check—has the issue resolved itself, or am I missing something important here?
Looking forward to your update. ??
No the issue has not resolved itself. If you look at this page:
https://dazzeldesigns.com/product-categories/3-tier-trays/there is only one 3-tier tray displaying and there should be three here.
On the Trinket Trays & Boxes page there are a number of products that should be showing up here that are not.
https://dazzeldesigns.com/product-categories/trinket-trays-boxes/
https://dazzeldesigns.com/product/golden-serenity-trinket-jar-with-lid/
https://dazzeldesigns.com/product/mystic-marble-oval-trinket-tray/
On the Bowls page there should be 2 more bowls displayed:
https://dazzeldesigns.com/product-categories/bowls/
https://dazzeldesigns.com/product/whispering-waves-trinket-bowl/
https://dazzeldesigns.com/product/radian-amethyst-wave-bowl/
And there is many more products for which this is happening.
I am viewing on my iPad vs laptop. These items are not showing up when viewed on iPad. I could check if laptop displays differently. Or could it be Safari vs another browser? As I mentioned before it was working perfectly in January. I recently added about 21 products and for these recently added products it is not working as expected.
Hello angel123000,
Thank you for your reply.
Please note that how and which products are displayed on which pages is determined by the active theme.
May I ask which theme you are using? I suggest you contact their support and report this issue. They should be better equipped to resolve this problem.
Let me know how it goes with the theme support.
Best regards.
I am using the Theme — Astra. It is the same theme I’ve always been using. And as I mentioned before, this only just started happening several weeks ago. So it worked perfectly prior to about mid February.
I have contacted Astra support and it took 2 to 3 days for a response from them. I’ll let you know what they have to say.
Hi there!
I understand your concern that it was working fine before. Just to verify, have you made any changes after which the issue started appearing? I’ve tried to replicate the issue on my site and I’m unable to replicate it on my end.
In the meantime, could you please go to WooCommerce → Settings → Products → Inventory, and make sure the option “Hide out of stock items from the catalog” is unchecked?
If that option is already unchecked, for troubleshooting purposes, could you please create a staging site, deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce, and activate a default theme like Storefront to see if you still face the same issue? For more details on how to run a conflict test, you can refer to this article: https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/
Let me know how that goes!
Hi,
No I didn’t make any changes other than to add new products.
The hide out of stock items is already unchecked. I ensured that was done prior to adding this post. And I did deactivate all plugins to see if it was a conflict with Woo Commerce and that too didn’t change the issue.
I can try switching themes as I am currently using Astra.
Hi there,
Thanks for sharing that information and for already troubleshooting by deactivating plugins. Since the issue persists, I suggest activating a default WordPress theme like Storefront and checking if the issue still occurs.
Let me know how that goes.I heard back from Astra support.
Please see my responses below.
I will try the few items not already done and see if this makes a difference. If it doesn’t, I will respond again.
ThanksAngelina

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:1. Check WooCommerce Product Display Settings
This is already done. I did a lot of researching and checks before I contacted you.
- Go to?WordPress Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display?and ensure that the correct options are selected for category and out-of-stock product visibility.
- Verify that?“Hide out-of-stock items from the catalog”?is NOT enabled.
2. Regenerate WooCommerce Product Lookup Tables
Okay this I haven’t tried yet and will try.
Sometimes, WooCommerce may not properly update product tables. To fix this:
- Navigate to?WooCommerce > Status > Tools
- Click?Regenerate Product Lookup Tables
3. Flush Caches & Check for Conflicts
This has been done already as well.
- If you are using a caching plugin (e.g., WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache), try clearing the cache.
- If your hosting provider has server-side caching, try purging it as well.
- Temporarily disable all plugins except WooCommerce and Astra to see if the issue persists. If the products display correctly, re-enable plugins one by one to identify the conflict.

The theme is already Astra
If you are using the Astra Child Theme, try switching to the main Astra Theme temporarily to see if the issue persists.5. Re-Save Permalinks
I will do this one as well.
- Go to?Settings > Permalinks?and click?Save Changes?without making modifications. This refreshes WordPress URL structures and might resolve category display issues.
6. Theme Settings:
Yep done already too.
- Check that your Astra theme settings are correctly configured for displaying products. Navigate to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog and ensure that your settings align with your desired layout.
7. Product Categories:
Yep checked multiple times.
- Verify that the products in question are assigned to the correct categories. Sometimes, products may not show if they’re not properly categorized.
8. Plugin Conflict:
Yep done already too.
Yep already done.
Switching to the Storefront theme did not resolve the issue at all.
In addition, I tried the few suggestions from Astra support that I hadn’t tried before and those too did not make a difference or resolve the issue.

Hello angel123000,
Thank you for your reply.
I checked your site again and noticed that this is not a Product Category URL that is commonly found. So I typed out the URL manually and noticed the actual Product Category page. Here are two URLs for comparison:
1- https://dazzeldesigns.com/product-categories/bowls/
2- https://dazzeldesigns.com/product-category/bowls/Could you check again and let me know if the problem persists on URL number 2?
Looking forward to your response. ??
Okay so I am somewhat confused.
This has always been the product category URL for me and any time I added a new product, it automatically appeared on this page.
https://dazzeldesigns.com/product-categories/bowls/But as you’ve said, this URL https://dazzeldesigns.com/product-category/bowls/ is PROPERLY displaying all the products it should be.
I prefer layout on the first URL.Can you provide me with some guidance on how to fix this please?
Thank you for finding this. I looked and researched and kept coming up with no resolution with everything I had tried.
Okay so I think I have it working now with layout as in second URL.
I presume I had changed some spelling and that messed everything up. While I prefer I it displayed before. I can live with this for now. Hopefully at some point I can figure out how to get it back to that. Thanks for all your assistance.
Ah okay, I have it figured out. Thank you for your assistance. I will do a few other things and then I think I’ll be able to close this thread and mark it resolved.
Yes I can mark this as resolved.
