  • Hi @chalkpaintheaven,

When I visit your Facebook page I see the Shop tab and it shows your products. Here’s a screencast: https://d.pr/v/kuVUEF

Do you mean that the “Shop tab” isn’t showing on your end? if you visit the shop page directly, do you see your products?

    Hi!

Correct, the shop tag i gone. When I clicked your link – the shop isnt available for me, although Im loged in as Chalk Paint Heaven.

    Hi @chalkpaintheaven,

That’s interesting! It seems like something that’d be caused by a change on Facebook’s end. I recommend contacting Facebook support for further assistance. (The plugin basically syncs your catalog to Facebook, it doesn’t control the shop behaviour on Facebook)

Please let me know what you find.

Hi! I′ve had the same problem in my WooCommerce connected to Facebook and the ‘Visit Shop Button’ was suddenly gone.
I got this information from Meta Support Team.
    From 10 August 2023
    https://www.facebook.com/business/help/953630345801994

Aside from the catalogue issues of Items not being shown, we determined that your shop and location is part of the recent changes we have for Shops that’s why your shop’s home page and collections will no longer be available to people in some regions.

From 10 August 2023, Businesses with a shop located in 11 markets (Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and Ukraine) will continue to be able to use Shops on Facebook and Instagram until further notice.

Sweden is still part of the supported markets but businesses will no longer be able to host a shop on Facebook Page or Instagram account, unless the shop has Checkout with Facebook or Instagram enabled in the US. Businesses without an accessible shop will no longer be able to use features associated with Shops, including product tagging (in posts, reels and stories) and creating new custom and lookalike audiences derived from people who visited a shop.

You can change your checkout method but checkout on Facebook and Instagram is only available to businesses in the US. You will need a US bank account and business address to set up your shop with checkout.

    To change your checkout method:

    1. Go to Commerce Manager and select your shop.
    2. In the left-hand menu, click Settings.
    3. Click Checkout method.
    4. Find the checkout method you want to update and click the gear wheel
    5. Choose the checkout method you want. You can see details about each checkout method in the drop-down.
    6. Click Change in the top right.
    7. Follow the steps to complete your change. If you’re changing your checkout method to Checkout on Facebook and Instagram, you’ll need to provide information about your business to set up your delivery, customer service and payouts preferences.
    8. Click Confirm.
    9. Your checkout method will be updated immediately. You can change back at any time.

Note: If you changed your checkout method to Checkout on your website, you’ll still be responsible for fulfilling or cancelling any open orders.

You may view the following articles below for reference on these changes and how it affect your Shop.

    Hi @evastream1022,

Thanks for sharing your findings. As you’ve rightly mentioned, the issue is a result of the recent changes by Meta. However, it’s unclear why this impacts users in Sweden as it is part of the supported markets:

From 10 August 2023, Businesses with a shop located in 11 markets (Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and Ukraine) will continue to be able to use Shops on Facebook and Instagram until further notice.

According to Meta, Checkout on Facebook and Instagram is only available to merchants in the US, this means merchants in other regions should use Checkout on another website – this should be your default checkout method. You can follow these steps to confirm your checkout method.

I recommend contacting Meta support for guidance on how to resolve the issue. (The plugin basically syncs Woo catalog to Facebook, it doesn’t control the shop behaviour on Facebook)
