    Hey everyone,

To start off I’m running the latest versions of WP and Woo.

This worked fine before, but as of our recent BF/CM sale the On Sale Widget is no longer updating and showing products that are on sale.

We have a few products on sale but it appears it just grabs random products. I’ve clered the _on_sale transients, updated the Woo DB through the Tools page but it appears to pull in non-on-sale products.

Has anyone dealt with this before and perhaps has a solution?

    Thanks,
    Aron

Additionally, I just tested this shortcode:

    [products columns=”6″ per_page=”12″ orderby=”date” order=”DESC” paginate=”true” on_sale=”true”]

It also returns products but not products that are on sale, while the on_sale parameter is set to true.

No clue what is up here ??

    Hi @aronprins ,

That sound strange, I tested on my test site by setting a few products on sale and then setting them back to regular prices, and everything worked as expected.

    I recommend the following approach:

    1) Clear cache from everywhere (via any cache plugins used on your site, via any CDNs like Cloudflare and from your server). After the cache is cleared, check your site from a different browser (to ensure saved cookies/caches in your browser are not interfering with your view).

    2) If the above still doesn’t resolve the issue, then I suspect there’s a plugin or theme conflict on your site. Please follow the steps here to conduct a conflict test: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Let me know how that goes!

As this is a live site I can not test this right away but will do so tomorrow morning when the office is closed to minimize interference with my debugging.

As I can imagine many people say, I’ve never had this issue until it popped up now and there are no new themes or plugins added recently that would “make sense” to cause this issue.

I noticed that when I clear the on_sale transient in the DB directly, the widget disappears instantly so this tells me that it responds directly to my actions and it makes me think there’s something wrong in the generation of that on_sale transient. Perhaps it pulls in the wrong on_sale products for some reason? None have on sale pricing or dates set though (Read about this here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/non-sale-prodcuts-getting-displayed-on-the-sales-section-in-the-sidebar/ – I checked these responses as well but this isn’t the case).

Will post again tomorrow in the morning – Thanks Ashish!

    Hey Ashish,

I’ve just ran the tests as outlined on the page you linked me to: still happening with a default theme and ALL plugins turned off other than Woo.

    How do we continue?

    Thanks,
    Aron

    Hi Aron,

Thank you for testing for conflict. To check further report of your site, could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here.

    Hey Ashish,

Is there a way to do this privately?

    Thanks!
