Unfortunately Facebook shows my product prices without vat. I thought with the Facebook pricefield in the variants tab I can manually change the price. But my prices are always the woocommerce price. The price from the Facebook pricefield is ignored

Why isn’t it possible to calculate the price automatically with vat if the shop prices must be insert without vat?
The only thing you have to insert in your plugin is a chance to choose a vat (woocommerce vat tab) that have to be added to the price.

    hope for help

    thank you
    Tobias

  • Hi @3dtobias

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that the product price on your Facebook shop is not showing the price including VAT, correct?

The price synced to your Facebook catalog should include tax if your WooCommerce shop is set to display prices including tax. You can find this option available at WooCommerce > Settings > Tax and select “Including tax” from the Display prices in the shop drop-down option.

That said, there are other tax options at play here. For instance, if you have the store set to “Entered prices exclude tax” yet the Display options are both set to “Including tax”, WooCommerce will need to generate tax on the product price before sending this across to Facebook. If the tax option is set to generate taxes from the “Customer’s address” then this might not work, as the Facebook sync has no specific customer address.

In this case, you’ll need to work out the best workaround:

    • Setting the “calculate tax based on” to the shop address
    • Enter prices inclusive of tax

    Hope this helps!

    Hello @3dtobias,

I can see that your taxes are set to exclude tax. Therefore, you can try the suggestion above by changing it to “Including Tax”.

Additionally, you mentioned that the custom Facebook price field is being ignored, but from my testing, it is working as expected. : )

To get a better understanding of the issue, can you please enable logging, try updating the price again, and then share the logs for us to review?

To do so, please follow the below steps:

    1. Head to Marketing > Facebook.
    2. Enable debug mode at the bottom of the screen and save the settings.
    3. Repeat the steps to replicate the error.
    4. Head to WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
    5. Choose the Facebook log from the dropdown and click the “View” button to display the log. Please note that the log may be in UTC/GMT time, so it may be offset by a few hours.
    6. Copy and paste the log into a GitHub Gist.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

Unfortunately i can’t change the Tax setup for my store.
There must be an other option.

What do you mean with Github Gist?
My Facebook log is very long.

My Facebook log is very long.

It’s just an online text-storing service like Pastebin, feel free to use either to share the logs. ??

There must be an other option.

The other option is adding a custom price for Facebook, hopefully, we’ll help you figure out why was the field ignored.

Also, please share a copy of your site’s System Status Report. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

    Hi,

Thanks for sending the error log.

Is the issue happening with all the products? Or certain products?

Sorry for asking for more information, can you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?That will help to take a closer look.

    Thanks.

I haven’t got a “Copy for support” Button.
I put it in GitHub gist. Is this ok?

    Hi @3dtobias

Thanks for sharing the requested information above

Unfortunately i can’t change the Tax setup for my store.
There must be an other option.

As mentioned by @babylon1999 above that the Facebook Price field is working as expected on his personal site.

For us to investigate this further, can you please try to switch to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce and Facebook for WooCommerce plugins are enabled, run a product sync once more and see if the Facebook Price field is now updated?

If so, then this kind of problem is usually caused by your theme or a third-party plugin present on your site. We can run a conflict test to verify this. I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment and performing the tests described on this guide without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

If this was caused by a third-party plugin present on your site, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

Let us know how it goes!

Its not possible to deactivate all my plugins.
I try to deactivate one after one.
Can you tell me, is it enough to sync facebook again or do i have to do more? Reset or delete the facebook links?

    (@3dtobias)

i found the plugin which make problems to the price sync.
    it’s Etsy Integration for WooCommerce

the support from that plugin is very good, i write them to solve the problem

    Hi @3dtobias

I’m glad you were able to find the culprit of your issue here which is one of our premium plugins Etsy Integration for WooCommerce.

If you have a valid license with us, can you please open a support request for us to investigate further about your issue?

    Thanks!
