I was testing out Ultimate Member before I go and work on the rest of my website. Basically, anything that a signed-in user adds to their profile (for example, adding their Skype ID) does not save at all.

It will not save. When I made the dummy user to test it, I went into my profile to add something to the profile that was not required in the initial registration. I went to try and add a Skype ID, Twitter name, and so on, I clicked “update profile”, but when I hit refresh a few seconds later, the changes are not there on the user side or on my side in the backend. It remains blank.

If needed, I am using the “Sydney” theme.

    How could I fix this?

  • If you’re using a cashing plugin, then exclude the user page from being cashed.

    Hi @cptechdesigns,

Can you please do a conflict test to rule out theme/plugin conflicts and see if this issue goes away. Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test.

Please also exclude Ultimate member pages from the cache if you have server side caching or caching plugins installed.

    Regards.

It’s working now! I was using the “LiteSpeed Cache” plugin on my website and I just had to add the user page, account page, and the members page to the exclusions. Thanks!

    Hi There,

    I’m having the same issue.
I have no cache on my site and I did a conflict test, still happening.
Once the user press “update profile” the button just stays like that, nothing changes and stays there.

There are no required fields (also checked that) so I’m running out of ideas.

Plugin and WP version are up to date.

I Tried this fix because I remember this already happened to me in the past and thanks to this user I sorted the issue the last time.

But this time does not do the job. It activates the button (at least seems to be going somewhere) ends up in a 404 page with a really weird ULR.

There is a last reply on that post regarding the ?profiletab=main&um_action=edit
and is right, using that URL I can edit, but I have no idea how to change it.
