Profile Form not working correctly

    Hi everybody.

    I am very desparate, so any help is so so so welcome. I have no idea, what to do…

    I have an issue with the Profile Form of UM. I designed a nice profile form and put the shortcode on the Account-Page. I looked just fine but Useres weren’t able to update their data. After hours and hours of google, i found out: The Pofile Form only works on the User-Page, so i switched the pages. Now, the Profile-Form-Shortcode is embedded in the User-Page.

    Unfortunately, the formally very nice looking Profile-Form does not show up any more. I only can see the content of the filled in fields – nothing else. Not even the Button to update the Data. When is switch the pages again, its there again. So there must be some problem with the Form and the User-Page, i guess…

    What am i doing wrong?

    Could you please tell us what’s switch you’re referring to? Could you please provide a screenshot? You can upload the screenshot via imgur.com and then share the image URLs here so we can review them.

    Thanks for the quick response!

    I ment the switch from User- to Account-Page and back.

    I uploaded 2 Screenshots. On the first, you can see, how the form should look like (and looks like, everywhere except for the User-Page): https://imgur.com/V7EOsX4

    Hi @doriantaylor

    You can only use the Profile shortcode on the User page. If you need to add custom fields to the Account form, you will need to use UM hooks to customize it.

    The second screenshot shows, how the Profile-Form Looks like on the User-Page.

    The User should edit their data with this Form…is‘nt That how the Form schould be used?

    Hi,

    This may be because of a plugin/theme conflict. Can you do a conflict test and see if the issue goes away? This doc explains how to do a conflict test if you are not sure: How to do a plugin/theme conflict test?
