Profile not updating

  • Hi there,
    I had this issue before but its back again.
    The users can not edit their profile

    1. I have the last version of the plugin and WP
    2. I do not have any cache on the site
    3. I tried a conflict test, it does no change
    4. There are no requited fields

    I tried out this fix since the last time did the job
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/profile-update-button-not-working/page/2/#post-9526040 but this time did not worked.

    on the other hand someone posted there a new fix:

    When the edit profile URL is …/user/username/?um_action=edit it will not work.
    It needs to be …/user/username/?profiletab=main&um_action=edit

    This works but I have to include the ? manually and I would like to sort the issue, but I have no idea how to change that. Any ideas?

    Hi @quitoxic,

    Have you correctly assigned User page in Ultimate member -> Settings -> setup?
    Have you tried switching to the default theme and see if this issue goes away?
    Do you have any custom code/script in the functions.php file?

    1. Yes, is correct (it was always correct)

    2. Yes, issue is the same and it also gets solved adding the ?profiletab=main&um_action=edit

    3. No

    What permalink settings do you have in Settings -> Permalinks?
    Please make sure it’s set post name.

    Hi guys.

    I just hard reseted Profile section in Settings/Appearance. I was crazy because I couldn’t fix the same issue with profile button not working. And I tried everything from this post and from other posts.

    You can try it. It’s 1 click and you can save your settings before. Maybe it will help to you as it helped for me.
