    Hello

    I’m having issues when updating a profile.

    I just added some extra user information to the profile page, like phone number, gender, and birthday. This information is NOT entered upon user registration – I’d like my users to enter this later on, if they wish. However, when entering the information on the profile page and pressing “update account (Opdater profil)” nothing happens.

    What’s the problem?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Turn off your caching.

    Performance optimized by W3 Total Cache.

    Don’t cache pages Login, Register, Password Reset.
    Don’t cache pages Account and User (a profile page).

    https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/1595-caching-problems

    You can read in this documentation how you turn off caching with “W3 Total Cache” plugin for the UM Pages.

    Thanks for that.

    Caching is already turned off for these pages. I’ve excluded the pages as described in the guide, but the problem remains. When clicking the “Update profile” button, the button goes inactive and the page doesn’t refresh. Nothing happens.

    @danielfrank

    Do you get any PHP or Javascript errors?

    Try to do a Theme or Plugin conflict test:

    No PHP or JS errors, whatsoever. No messages of any kind in the browser console.

    I’ve now tried doing the conflict test – same results.

    @danielfrank

    Your UM Login and Registration pages still shows this HTML message:

    Performance optimized by W3 Total Cache.

    Try checking a staging version of the site:

    https://staging-1644155050.koldfronten.dk/account/

    Every plugin (besides UM) has been disabled, cache folder has been deleted, theme switched to default theme.

    You could try creating a profile and test it yourself, if you like.

    @danielfrank

    How have you setup the Account and Profile pages?
    They are two different shortcodes and two different pages.

    Also there is a mix of SSL and no SSL objects on your page.
    Try to install a “Really Simple SSL” plugin to fix this issue.

    Also there is a mix of SSL and no SSL objects on your page.

    SSL is not the issue. The staging site is without SSL and will be deleted after I’ve solved the issue.

    I’ve upgraded you to Administrator, so you can have a look at the settings. But I made sure to use the right shortcode on the account page.

    Revoke that access now, it is not safe to permit anyone any access at all to your site.

    Anyone asking for that access will be banned for good on this site. @danielfrank I know you had good intentions but don’t do that again for anyone. It’s that serious and introduces both you and them to real liability.

    (@danielfrank)

    Thank you for your concern. I would never do that on a live site. It was only done on a staging site. But I’ve revoked the access now, anyway. Don’t ban me, please ??

    Can anyone help with this issue?

    Hi @danielfrank

    I just registered on your site. I don’t see any fields added to the Profile Form: https://staging-1644155050.koldfronten.dk/user/umdeveloper/?um_action=edit

    Also, the UM Account page should not have the Profile form shortcode. You need to use the shortcode [ultimatemember_account] for the Account page. Are the /user/ and /account/ pages using the same Profile form shortcode?

    Hello Champ

    As always, straight on with a solution. I was the idiot, yet again. That solved the issue. Thank you very much ??
